Help on setting up wired network on BT infinity Hub?

[link to this post]

Please can anyone advice on how to setup wired network to work with infinity Bt hub. I want to run a cable to one of the bedrooms upstairs and then hard wire 2 xbox 360's, 1 laptop, 1 desk top pc and a PS3, all tobe able to connect to the internet, am I right in thinking that running an ethernet cable from the back of the BT hub to one of these Ethernet Switch box's ( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupi... ) will do the trick? any recommendations on what equipment to buy? and the best way to go about it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Jimmy

Any 8 port 10/100 switch should do the trick.

Don't forget that you need one port for the uplink connection from BT Hub. (so, for the 5 boxes you describe, a 5 port switch will not do)

Thanks Sandgrounder, I thought that's what I needed, I was just a little unsure, didn't want to buy the wrong thing for the job. Anyway I'll have a look round and get one ordered.

Thanks
