Re the possible increased range of 200Mb/1Gb Homeplugs, Interestingly I spoke to the supplier's technical section, and they were adamant that the greater bandwidth ones offered no better range. I guess a practical test is called for...
Thank you for pointing it out but I do understand the need for NOT using adaptors, 4-way power blocks, and not trying to use a ring main spur if at all possible.
No, what I really need is a standalone AP which will act as a pure repeater. I have successfully used APs of the same manufacture to achieve this, and I guess I could do the same here. Just seems a pity one can't use the wireless output of the BT Home Hub...
I am also told that the BT Home Hub v3 has increased WiFi range over the previous versions. Be interested to hear if anyone can confirm that.
