Re: Internet in garage far from router : Help :

Hi Justin
Can you give us an update on your progress on this? I'm in almost exactly the same position, just converted my separate garage to an office and don't get wifi signal out there now at all. I'm hoping that the plugs work, as that appears to be the best route.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick
The plugs worked perfectly, i bought 200mbps TLink Homeplugs and i am getting very fast internet. No reduction in speed at all. I would really recommend them!

I also used my operating system to use the internet connection coming through ethernet (cable) to be boosted out through my wifi card. So i now also have a seperate wifi for the garage, usefull for my phone and ipad.

For mac it can be done through 'sharing' under settings and preferences and enable internet sharing, but from windows simply download 'connectify' and follow the instructions. You may not need it but i found it useful. Hope that helps!

Anymore questions just ask!

Justin
