Cloud Router (with integral ADSL modem)

[link to this post]

Hi

I have just been reading about dlink and cisco cloud routers, but I am wondering if anyone knows if anything exists with similar functionality (e.g. manage router from any device and/or via web browser, e-mail alerts for intrusion attempts, etc) but has an integral ADSL modem, i.e. an all in one box solution?

Many thanks.

You mean a router with a web interface? They all have them.

No I don't - hence the reference to cloud

A link is far better than a word reference.

I don't think Cisco currently have any combined modem/routers which run on Cisco Cloud...but count that as a blessing in disguise smile As things stand, their Cisco Connect Cloud is so slow and laggy that i've gone back to the traditional fimrware on my Cisco EA4500 router.

While the comment may have been worded better, it is true that a great many consumer and SME level routers do have web interfaces that can be exposed via the routers own WAN interface in addition to the LAN interface.

Is that all that you want?

He gave you a straightforward and accurate answer to your original question. You made no mention about accessing your home network remotely.

'Sir, please,' she said... 'Will you not share your wisdom with us?'
'I have no wisdom,' he told her.
'Your experiences, then?'
'They have been trivial, uninteresting, and full of error.'
