I'm looking for a friend for a basic inexpensive router - for BT connections - to replace a BT Voyager modem.
He's on a short telephone line, straight line distance to exchange is 1.1km, so 2km actual at most. It would be helpful if the router had a 4-port hu as well.
I've currently lent the guy my 'old' DG834. A good solid piece of kit, but I intend to keep mine as contingency and as temporary work around for other's problems.
I'll look around, thanks.

It's replacing a BT Voyager modem, wireless is definitely not needed. I don't know the man's view on new or second hand, though it seems I can get a new DG834 for c.£30 I'd guess he'd be happy with that.
