No pictures on their site of the back of these. If it is a lj4f then they say pins 2 and 5

In reply to a post by george70:
http://www.clarity.it/telecoms/adsl_faceplate.htm. This is where I got them from, the NTE5 and the BT ADSL Adapter. Instructions came with it but lost them.

Something like this http://www.clarity.it/xcart/product.php?productid=16... + a filtered BT ADSL V10 faceplate for the NTE5?

Yes that's it. Read some of the instructions but spins my head around. Haven't got a clue. Thanks again to both of you for your help.

It's important for us to know which of the line boxes you got with the kit - please see the drop down list on that page. If it has a filtered faceplate similar to the Solwise ADSL-FFP85D then it's probably a Clarity Pro LJ4F Telephone and ADSL Extension Faceplate with integrated microfilter which MrSaffron linked to before smile

After a good nights sleep did some more research this morning and found this on the internet. If this is the right way to connect, hopefully it could help other people with the same problem. I would again like to thank you and 4M2 for your help and thank my lucky stars there are people like you out there. This is the only site I can find which shows the back of the extension and hope I am not breaking any rules by sending it, if so I apologise.

Ok so it http://www.kebabshopblues.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2... is the exact picture of what you have then you need to do the following

Blue to A on v1.0 and Blue to 3 on the RJ11 side
Blue/White to B on v1.0 and Blue/White to 4 on the RJ11 side

Orange to 2 on v1.0 and Orange to 2 on the phone side
Orange/White to 5 on v1.0 and Orange/White to 5 on the phone side

This modular socket has no filtering components in it, so with the wiring setup I have described you are taking the ADSL and the filtered phone using two pairs to the appropriate pins in the modules.

Thanks very much, now that is a lot easier for me to understand. One more question before I try it. I bought these to stop using filters, so I wont need filters any more, is that correct.

You only need to connect 2 Blue/White wire and 5 White/Blue wire, the old bell wire 3 Orange/White is not required.

With that wiring combination, correct, you have a centrally located filter

With all respect I suggest you take a look later in the thread, they are using a modular socket at the extension, so this normal advice does not apply due to the need to get the filtered and unfiltered signal to the modular extension socket.
