Using the suspect device wired with wireless disabled sounds like a good idea. If this resolves the problems, look for a driver upgrade for the wireless card. If there are no new drivers or the latest drivers do not help, replace the wireless card.

Well folks. I tried it as a wired connection, disabled wireless card entirely.

The problem persisted.

I scanned for viruses with Avast - nothing found.

Ran Malwarebytes, removed a few things.

The problem persisted.

Removed some programmes that really didn't need to be installed.

The problem seemed to stop for a bit.

But its back.

I'm stumped. Anyone?
