You want to put the homehub onto 192.168.0.200

Then turn off DHCP on the homehub.

ATM you have the homehub set to an IP entirely out of the sky hub meaning they shouldn't talk to one another properly. Failing that give sky a call as they will likely send a extender for free if you sweet talk them.

Hello BatBoy - thanks for replying at such a late hour, although with a name like that maybe I shouldn't be shocked! The starting ip address is 192.168.0.2 and the ending is 192.168.0.254. Is 254 the maximum range? I can't use 192.168.0.1 as that's the one for accessing the Sky Hub. Thanks again for helping me through this as I have no clue!

Do as ukhardy07 suggests and it should work. The ipv6 isn't an issue.

Yeah, you can always set the end of the range on the Sky router to be 199

If you use 192.168.0.2 it would be an issue

Sky router will issue every device an IP staring 192.168.0.2
So first decide will get 192.168.0.2 second .3 etc

The homehub also needs to talk to the sky router. To do this it needs to be in the range of the sky router.
Having it at 192.168.0.200 will only cause an issue if you connect 198 devices.
Having homehub at 192.168.0.2 would be an issue as the first device you connect would also be trying to use the same ip. Hence a conflict

Homehub at 192.168.0.200 works as it talks to sky router nicely but it's high enough that other devices will never get an ip this high so no conflicts

Make sure that after setting homehub up you disable homehub dhcp

To sum up only a conflict if connecting hundreds of devices (unlikely)

BatBoy and ukhardy07 - thanks for replying again so late and bearing with me. I shall try your suggestion of setting the homehub to 200 and let you know how i get on. Ihave disabled DHCP already on the homehub. Just want to make sure I don't screw anything up on the Sky Hub!

To be honest, the IP address of the Homehub doesn't really matter as long as it's valid. But .255 isn't valid.

Plugged home hub back in and can't get back into it to change the settings now!!!
