Re: Airport Express - Audio Use

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

Is there any need to disable wifi on the Airport Expresses that being used for D>A if also connected via Cat5?

I'm thinking here that depending where the music source is coming from, there may be better wifi connectivity from the local Airport Express acting as D>A into the amp as a remote Airport Express connected to the switch via Cat55 acting as a wireless AP at a remote part of the house?

Cheers!

Clive

Hi Clive

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow? You mentioned sthg similar in the previous post, and forgive me I didn't get it then either.

If you mean you want an access point active in the garage for that side of the house, then presumably the router in there is wireless and an option (if not active already?).

Ah! I had totally forgotten that there was a wireless router there in the garage!

Also by me doing that I was also having four wifi devices in close proximity which now thinking about it is not ideal.

When my friend and I have the time, we have some testing out to do.

Many thanks.

Cheers!
