VIRGIN SUPERHUB WI-FI ISSUES

[link to this post]

Hi, I'm new here so I may be posting on the wrong area so feel free to "bump" me to the correct place!

I have a virgin superhub in the house and I want to get wifi in my home office at the end of the garden which is about 100ft away from the house. I get no signal there at all on my ipad and I wondered if there was any way this can be solved as I am not very technical. I have a wired point in the log cabin to connect my desktop computer but I need the wifi to work too.

Any comments/suggestions would be much appreciated

As you have a wired point there already it is quite simple.

Buy a wireless access point with four Ethernet ports. Plug that into the socket you already have, connect your desktop PC to one of the ports and off you go.

Using an older TP-Link is this exact same mode (an old Ethernet switch died).

The TP Link Archer C2 is a current model that should do whats needed and give fast wireless at £45

Rough guide as to what to do

Another guide is http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/wap/configuring-wap.html

A single port wireless access point and a 4 port Ethernet switch can probably be sourced for less money, but means two power supplies and wireless not likely to be as good. If buying wireless kit these days really only worth buying dual band kit too.
