Have you looked at the Draytek Vigor AP810 and 900 units?

I have a 900, quite nice.

I wanted something with more bandwidth on 5Ghz and I'm not sure the that VLAN is going to be compatible with my VLAN settings.

Though I might consider it actually, would you mind answering a few questions about features?

I can try, but I don't know when I will answer as the beast is at home and I'm not yet.

Post some questions and I will do my best. The AP900 has just had a new fw release that has some new features, the best one is that you can turn off the rather bright LEDs unless you're trying to do diagnostics.

It is only a 802.11n capable device, doesn't do 802.11ac.

Can 5ghz channels be set manually to anything 100 or over or only channels upto 48?

Minimum channel number is 36, maximum is 140.

This is with fw 1.1.5.1 downloaded from the international ftp site rather than Draytek UK.

OK, Well after a bit more reading last night I don't think its legal to get an Access point that will cover my whole home,

So I will be ordering the Linksys AP and concentrating on the downstairs and Home Office areas of the house and if necessary I will just buy a cheap AP (like the Edimax one mentioned previously) to boost coverage for upstairs.
