Yes, the Cisco ATA would connect to the router using an ethernet rJ45 cable. You would need to get configuration information from Hyperoptic if you can not display it using the router's menu. It would make sense to ask Hyperoptic about using alternative equipment. One issue to consider is what happens in a power cut.

As rough guide 5GHz is around 1 room less coverage than 2.4 GHz in the same property, but it has less congestion as the bonus. So until you survey 5GHz coverage it will be hard to know - wooden doors are easy, but a modern wooden door that may have a foil laminate in it for energy conservation may be an issue.

In short wireless until you try it you won't know.

Even the type of wood can have a different effect - Pine compared to Oak or Walnut for example.
