BT HH5 vs TP-Link Archer VR900

Has anyone switched from a HH5 a TP-Link Archer VR900 and noticed a difference in the sync speed and the download speed tests?
I've noticed a difference and I'm wondering if there are any tweaks required for the TP-Link Archer VR900.

Here are the differences:

BT HH5: downstream: 58.82Mbps
Speed test: 56.1Mbps

TP-Link Archer VR900: downstream: 56.9Mbps
Speed test: 53.0Mbps

I know it's not much of a difference but to put twist on another companies slogan, "every Mbps helps"

Type A

So the Type A has a chipset that suits an ECI cabinet chipset
and the VR900 has a chipset that suits a Huawei Cabinet chipset

So which type of cabinet are you connected to?

I know the location of the telephone cabinet and I believe the FTTC cabinet is the taller one on the other side of the road.
I'll take a look a see if I can't identify which one it is.
