Okay so the hub is passing on DNS results to the PC, what happens if you tracert labs.thinkbroadband.com in the command line?

Also this PC are you sure it is not blocked by the BT parental controls? i.e. there is a tendency for the parental controls to want you to authorise devices to have access, rather than be fully open by default

Checked the BT HH6 & there are no access controls on any device.
When I type labs.thinkbroadband.com I get 'labs.thinkbroadband.com' is not recognised as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file.
When I type tracert labs.thinkbroadband.com I get "unable to resolve target system name labs.thinkbroadband.com".

Try the command

nslookup labs.thinkbroadband.com

I get:-
Server: resolver1.opendns.com
Address: 208.67.222.222

Non-authorative answer:
Name: labs.thinkbroadband.com
Addresses: 2a02:68:1::13
2a02:68:1::12
80.249.99.73
80.249.106.133

Hope thats clear. Any idea ?

This sequence of command line commands might clear things

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
NETSH winsock reset catalog
NETSH int ipv4 reset reset.log
NETSH int ipv6 reset reset.log

From what others are saying my guess if you have just had the Windows 10 Creators update

Thanks & have run through those commands firstly with only one restart at final NETSH entry. Then a second time with restarts after each NETSH entry all without success.
All suggestions welcome. IPv6 still disabled & I have also uninstalled VirtualBox

When you say restart do you mean reboot the PC.

Those commands are intended to be run in sequence without any PC reboots in between

I entered each command when prompted to do so but after each NETSH entry a reboot was requested. First time I ignored the reboot until the last one when I did reboot. Second time I did reboot after each NETSH entry ie 3 reboots.
In neither was I able to connect.

I give up then, one of those Windows issues that means need to be sat at the machine to try a myriad of random things and ask questions in real time.

Can you post the entire contents of

ipconfig /all

Also, please turn IPv6 back on in Windows in the network stack, it isn't really designed to be switched off.

Also, check that you don't have a proxy server specified.

Finally, try with a different web browser just to see if it is a browser-specific issue.
