About 10 years ago I set up a WiFi link using two WiFi dongles mounted at the focal point of two old satellite dishes over a straight line point to point of 800 metres, mounted about 10 metres above the ground
Worked quite well, tricky to set up.
Do some googling for it as there was some info of other people had done it over far greater distance.
