BT to RJ45 Patch Cable

[link to this post]

Any chance that someone could post a wiring diagram to knock up a BT to RJ45 Patch Lead.

If I used an existing telephone extension lead and left the white plug end intact and replaced the other end with an rj45 plug, wired as indicated with a response to this question, would that be a solution to run with?

With advanced thanks to whoever replies to this request for help.

Voice runs over Pair 1 on the RJ45 (structured cabling) this is the blue pair, i.e. the centre pins 4 and 5. Should be wired back respectively to 2 and 5 on the BT plug.

If the cable has an RJ11 plug on one end it may work if it is put in the middle of an RJ45 socket.

I used to do that and found that it knackered the RJ45 module, now I just buy an RJ11 to RJ45 cable
