That number no longer works. BT now insist that the customer get their new ISP to contact the tag on line team on behalf of the customer.

Sorry didn't realise they'd stopped dealing direct with end user. Its some months since I last contacted them.

I thought that OFCOM had requested that BT should be able to deal with end users having problems with MACs. Perhaps thats changed recently.

The warning signs were there years ago when i asked for my mac and the likes of you never believed a word i said, because HV could do no wrong Funny how their forums have gone and no representation here, when it started to go pear shaped.

This is not intended to any staff or ex staff of HV. In fact myself and a member of staff have since made up our differences. I received a phone call two years later from this person and all is good.

I think you may have misunderstood my post.

When I said "Sorry didn't realise they'd stopped dealing direct with end user" I was referring to BT Wholesale not HV.

That's not what i am talking about. Its the fact that your self and many others did not believe a single word i was saying about the problems i had when requesting my mac code. The grief and accusation of lying, even when i had documented proof of everything that went on. I really did not deserve any of that, just because yours and others Internet connection was hunky dorey. Some of you treated me like dirt, when i was having major problems with an isp that got personal. Well where are you all now, still with your beloved HV, that can do no wrong?

Looking at the many posts of people having major problems getting their mac code and the language some have been subjected too over the phone. Are they all making it up too.

As I recall it there was no doubt about what HV had done. Mark had admitted to his part and apologised publicly at the time.

The reason you were accused of lying is simple. Its because you did lie.

You made posts on the forum detailing your own actions and language on the evening it all happened. Within an hour the posts were deleted and you denied all knowledge of them.
From then on you denied both the content of the posts and indeed denied any posts had ever been deleted.

That is what you were accused of lying about and indeed to this day I don't think you've ever admitted to it. Everyone else has apologised and got over it years ago.

If you lie on a public forum them you fully deserve to have the fact that you lied highlighted.

No-one ever denied the issues you had with HV were real.

My Broadband is still provided by HV. It works well and is good value.
Over the four + years I've been with them there have been issues and some changes but overall they've provided me with a better service/experience than other ISPs ever have.
I am aware that some customers have worrying experiences and fully understand that the situation is not perfect.
It may well be that the day comes when my connection stops working or I can't get my MAC and I'll be just as pee'ed off as others. Even if that happened tomorrow it wouldn't take away the years of value and service Ant & co have provided me with.

No I don't think they're making it up. Clearly any customer should be able to get a MAC quickly and in a civil manner.

As a result of hearing of other peoples experiences I have not recommended HV to a new customer in a long time.

That is such a crock of poo. I never ever deleted lied or anything like that at all. You were a massive fanboy and were so deluded that you believed everything HV said no matter what, because you thought the sun shined out of their back side. Like i said . Marc and i have sorted things out, he phoned me up 2 years after all what happened and said he had to make things right morally, as it played on his mind. I thought that was really big of him and i forgave and even said if hes in the area, we can have a drink.

What got me is exactly what you have just done now. Told a total lie on something someone told you and you wholeheartedly believed it all. Why did you think Marc phoned me after 2 years. Penny dropped yet ?

I see your still denying making the posts and then the posts being deleted.

Your the only one involved not man enough to admit to their part in it all and apologise.

I'm not in the least bit surprised Mark contacted you, he apologised on the forums at the time.

Wrong again.
I've not based my opinion on anything anyone told. It is based entirely on the posts I read myself that night which were then deleted. You even posted a copy of a letter you were writing to OFCOM detailing the incident. It included the threats you made to HV and it and the other posts were soon deleted, no doubt after someone pointed out to you how poor your own actions were.

So the only thing my opinion is based on is what you told yourself.

I cant deny what never happened. When you delete a post your post stays and deleted appears. So did anyone take screen shots at the time to rub them in my face? No why, because there was none. I don't lie, i have never been a liar, and what gets up my goat is a total stranger on a forum saying other wise, why . Just because he had to pick a side and believe everything he was told with out no proof and then have the bear face cheek to call me a liar.

Of cause you got your opinion from what people told you, there is the problem

One day, maybe Marc would put the record straight and shut you and others up for good.

Maybe your account got hacked, or (more likely) someone posted the offending posts with a fake name that looked like yours (like "dustie"), and this guy genuinely believed it was you?

Otherwise, I'm stayin' out of this shootin' match
