My son and i use the line to game a lot i guess the throttling raises the ping does it ?
As I understand it traffic management is there to ensure things like gaming and voip receive the best service so I wouldn't rule it out just yet.
You should give them a call to see what services are affected. It may be that you don't use any of the affected ones and in that case it could be great value for you.
Bare in mind the extra complexity/cost of moving back to a BT managed line if you aren't happy with an Opal provided product though. This didn't concern me too much however everyone is different
I don't know if the same applies to the Xilo/Uno package re traffic management on the Opal product i.e you need to ask or pay more for an unmanaged line? Might be worth asking them as that would be a big cost difference between the two if you didn't need the extra GB allowance on Vivaciti.
