Why is that unfortunate? if we had cable here I would think about going to it, get rid of these BT cables.

They don't need too though.

Telewest spent a fortune getting a large cable footprint in the town. I would say a high % of the town is covered by Virgin who are now providing 100Mb speeds.

Unfortunately if your house was built after 1998, you are stuck as Telewest pulled the plug on new builds like mine.

Because a) people may actually want Sky or Be as it is cheaper and uncapped b) any house built after 1998 will not be a cabled street so we have no choice.

More people on Virgin, the less demand for LLU services so we are stuck paying a premium to use the BT network.

Move to nearby cable area then wolvesmad, I live nearby madeley and very closer to exchange!

I live in a cable area. The houses all around me have cable just our street is not cabled.

My internet is 4 x's faster than most of my neighbours so it's not so bad that I would move to consider moving house.

I was not surprise as samknows had updated my exchange Cuckoo Oak as a new Orange LLU along with TalkTalk LLU

Both are the worse providers ever!

CPW LLU is fine when using a reseller like Xilo.

Xilo is not available on my local exchange using CPW LLU. That's pretty strange one! It say no CPW LLU on the Xilo broadband checker!

It makes perfect sense to me, they clearly value their sanity!

Amazingly in the last month C&W,O2 and Sky have all been enabled on our exchange.i went with Sky already have sky hd and with line rental get it all a bit cheaper.
