Re: Xilo: Inconsistent Speeds

That I appreciate, but we are limited to what has been explained on this thread and also your support ticket.

The rate you're getting is above the minimum acceptable rate before BT will ultimately take it more seriously.

As we discussed via ticket, you would run our test so that once we have a few days of data, we will attempt to raise this again, however, the results show no evidence of issues at the same time each day* and from your last update on the ticket, you stated speeds of under 0.8Mb but there are no results matching this from the last 20 results.

*This makes it harder for us to show BT when the problem occurs allowing them to review the VP at the time that you report slowness. You're seeing random slowness at 5pm, 11pm, 9am, 6pm, 8pm, 9pm, 7am and 3pm - half of which are not considered "peak". These results vary on a day to day basis. Some times those on one day are fine, another they are not.

Further more, there are only 5 tests from the last 50 or so between the hours of 11am and 3pm, all of which were fine but as the dataset for those times is so small, it is impossible to compare taking in to considering the above.

I will also update this on the ticket but we will continue to proceed with this as was discussed via the support system.

Er..not sure if its any consolation but more than likely it will keep getting worse to the point where BT will (in theory) do somthing.

More than likely.. just very frustrating for both the EU and CP when it does happen.

I assume that by posting here you are hoping someone may come up with some ideas. Some of the following may have been covered in your ticket.

In your opening post, there is a discreprancy between the IP Profile and what we would expect. It should be 5500kbps not 4500kbps.

To me that indicates possible instability. Any chance you could post another (new) BT speed test, and also a current set of router stats.

Are these speed tests taken connected wired or wireless to your router, and what else is connected to it? Do you have a Sky box and have you recently replaced anything electrical or electronic? Internet-capable TV?
