ADSL24 direct debit

[link to this post]

I thankfully moved away from the shockingly bad service I received from ADSL24 on 18th August and cancelled the direct debit but have received an email stating I will be debited £19.90 on 1st October, for a service I no longer receive nor want....so don't even think of taking money from my account.

Hi Chris

The only reason an invoice would be raised is ifa DD would still be in place is if we've not been notified by BT wholesale (or yourself) that the line has been migrated away, so it would still be showing as a live account on our side and thus raise an invoice as usual. I have cancelled this invoice, and can confirm the DD was already cancelled on the 2nd September, so no amount will be taken and the account is now closed completely.

Thanks,

James

I can't believe anyone can have a shocking bad service from ADSL24, maybe i just been lucky. Sure you may have problems and their service may not suit you, but shocking is not a work I would use.

But then i don't know the full story.

I do know that if you go from one ISP to another via MAC or any other way to be honest it is best to tell the ISp you are moving from when you have been connected to your new supplier. Sure you should not have to as it all should be automatic, but it is not and you do, simple as that

Looking at the thread you created a while back a lot of us did offer plenty of advise on the matter - http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/otherisp/f/4017852-...

Did you try alternative hardware? As mentioned in the said thread, some routers are not so good on ADSL2+ even though they were previously rock solid on ADSL.
