XLN jump in ping

Anyone else have an XLN connection?

Seen a jump in the ping times and just wanted to know if anyone else is seeing the same of if this is a issue with this one connection.

The above graph is for 23rd and shows the sudden increase in ping.

Still fastpath ADSL Max!

(Sig out of date? Or someone else's line?)

I think it will be interleaving gone on, it looks about the right increase.

Netgear router? Reports "Fast" even on interleaved - possibly only looking at the upstream setting.

Whatever - the quickest check is the presence or absence of FECs, and the (so far) infallible check is the "D:" line in the full line stats. 1 = Fast path, other = interleaved (depth).

Feeling silly now ... just checked the stats again and it does say interleaved, my bad!

Was that just a lucky guess that it was a netgear router? Ex-Sky router flashed with DGTeam firmware.

Just a statement that many Netgears, (all 834s I think, and also some others), get it wrong in the "Channel" line. From those stats it looks like DGTeam f/w corrects it.
