Vivaciti forums - last time I looked it seemed very quiet and not worth visiting.

If you do decide to disconnect and reconnect, leave it offline for 15 minutes at least. That way, you'll drop the current DSLAM port you connected to. I don't think that's what you mean. You are hard-wired to the DSLAM port.
A 15-minute disconnection will almost certainly cause the DSLAM to trigger a Session cease on the connection to the ISP, if one hasn't occurred immediately from the way you disconnected. As far as I know that's about it.
I did intend to write port, as in the hardware port however, I didn't mean that the physical connection would be disconnected. I meant at a software level. You however, have explained it better.
Re the Vivaciti forum, I've actually emailed their support mailbox this morning and still not received any response. That initial poor first impression isn't getting any better...

To be honest, I've not tried performing the same process with everything connected. So, it's just as likely that I'd get the same result. My OCD side showing, in the same way that I double filter the DECT base that's plugged into the master socket (the only phone socket connected in the house).

Took me a few days to get activated on the Viva forums. Usually someone from Viva is active on these forums, maybe it's holidays?

Im on the same as rarrar and speeds are full throttle during the day 24/7. I use the Jdast speedtester which tests every hour and the lowest throughput I have seen over 1000 samples is 16 mbps.
Indeed, full line speed 24/7 & cannot fault Vivaviti's service so far.

Exchange chipset is Broadcom here on Vivaciti Surfwise LLU so bought a Billion 7800 to match.
Ditto me too, already was using the superb Billion 7800N so happy from the start. Used many routers over the years and not used one better on my line.

Its always worth keeping an eye in there, we normally post updates and any service news items in there, plus any outages.

Hi,
Do you have the ticket number as we are not showing any open tickets from yesterday, only some from over night that they are working through this morning.

Hi,
I don't have a ticket number, no as I didn't get any response at all from the email I sent to the Vivaciti support address.
Thanks,
Paul
