I'm currently twiddling my thumbs waiting for a MAC from my ISP...can anyone explain why it might take days to generate a MAC, is it a complex process?
Yes, I'm probably missing something obvious, it just seems odd in a world of computerisation and instant communication that the process takes days rather than hours.

When I left O2 it arrived about 20 minutes after the request. By email and text.

If you are sure you are going to use the MAC, you could of course also serve your notice to leave when asking for the MAC. So it makes little difference.
