Have a browse around your router's GUI and full system log .

Well currently dont have any logs as had to reboot the router when the network went tits up Cant see anything about length or how often to renew

Can the dhcp lease thing be at their end? its strange how me and Gari (and maybe others) having these issues both after moving to coms

I've got a fancy ASUS router now, and can't see anything about it for the WAN either . Only the ones it issues to the LAN.

Netgear 834 series and Speedtouch 585's had it. The auto-renew was set to half the lease length requested.

That looks the right sort of thing, but it's only 24 hours. Which casts doubt on my theory .

To check when it renews, have another look tomorrow between 6am and 5pm. See if it reset at 05:21:36

Bet it will do, as its every 3 days i get a minute downtime. Im sure the lease renews as soon as i reboot my PC, could be wrong?

If you're using ipconfig, you will be seeing the DHCP lease time for your local network IP address e.g. 192.168.0.2 and yes, this will be 24 hours from when you boot your PC

Hmm, another exactly 3 day connection like me and Gari. Interesting. Yea ive had a few of those short ones, although my router log doesnt always pick them up, so not sure if to believe they always exist
