Re: ADSL24 > Coms migration. What could possibly go wrong?

Another loss of service today - connection down since 10:48 this morning. I'm at work which means I can't check my router logs for any errors. Phoned support, they've tried a port reset which apparently worked for somebody else, but it hasn't for me. Now been told to disconnect the router for 20 minutes to clear the session and see if that resolves it. I'm not hopeful.....

No outages so far here today.

Saw the 1705-1725 outage yesterday 10th Feb. Also seeing the 3 day session period.

I informed coms last week that I was migrating by email, I also wrote to the accounts department and have still not had a reply from them.

Well, powering down the router for 2 hours hasn't resolved my loss of service. Phoned support again, now told that line is in wrong status - activating? Waiting for a callback.

I've joined this forum to add my thoughts. I, too, did not receive a letter from Coms - the only one I saw was telling me about the move from ADSL24 to Coms about 2 days before I was migrated. Since then my line has deteriorated - router had reported 16MB down speed (in truth was usually around 14MB) - it's now reporting just under 13MB. I also had the downtime yesterday evening, called support and after 20 minutes was still left holding. Someone unplugged the phone and when I tried to redial I couldn't reach support as I either got the unobtainable tone or an automated message saying the number was no longer accepting calls
I've checked my connection log and it's been disconnecting regularly - I was quite amazed to see how often i'ts gone down - like many others it regularly seems to be dropping every 3 days or so. There is also no usage report which is very annoying. I thought this was supposed to be back on the 1st Feb?

Hi Guys,

Apologies for the lack of updates from myself and Paul. I have been busy with the team trying to work through the log of tickets whist we get the systems aligned and working right.

If you have any pressing matters, please drop me a PM and I will do my best to get them resolved as soon as possible for you.

Kind regards

Dan

Hi Dan

Can you have a look into the issue me and many are having with sessions dropping every 3 days for a minute. Its been suggested its a software bug at your end with the wan lease not renewing.

Hi all,

Looked for a thread in the Fibre section, couldn't find one..

Any of you here who are/were on ADSL24 FTTC, have you been migrated yet? I'm on 30 Ultra and was told my IP would change, it hasn't so I assume i haven't been moved yet. i've only ever had one email from them which was ages ago and thats it, so excuse me if I've missed something....

I also cant log into 'My Account' even though i know my details are correct - tried the password reset and it sends me the email, and verifies my user name is correct, but still says "Your username and/or password is incorrect - please try again" - Thats using the password you supply on the login page. Amazing.
