Re: ADSL24 > Coms migration. What could possibly go wrong?

Thanks Richard. It certainly has been wild out there.

Reminds me of something that happened last night.
Being one of the last people on earth to get into Breaking Bad my wife wants to move to ABQ.
In an episode we watched last night a radio announcer commented on the 300 days a year of sunshine they have there.

I think I'd miss not having something to talk to strangers about to be honest. Our weather gives us all some commonality and gives us all at least something to talk about.

BTW - I'm only on season 4, so no spoilers please!!!!

Heard of it but not watched. US dramas don't do much for me.

I usually just read and don't post a lot on these forums but any excuse to get involved in a Breaking Bad conversation! It's brilliant, quite possibly the best TV series I have ever watched. I would highly suggest giving it a go RobertoS.... if you're into American TV series that is.

Paul has been extremely helpful. I would like to thank him on this thread

OTOH, it is a great shame that he had to be. Sounds like a real "raised male chicken" to me.

Never seen Breaking Bad to be honest. Would like to get into it when I have more time.

Back on topic though, and I have managed to test the 3 day lease issue on my connection. I have never maintained an active connection for more than 3 days (since the migration). Here is a sample from My Account area:-

10 Feb 2014 19:05 13 Feb 2014 19:05 3 days
6 Feb 2014 23:14 9 Feb 2014 23:14 3 days
2 Feb 2014 10:37 5 Feb 2014 10:37 3 days
29 Jan 2014 20:30 1 Feb 2014 20:30 2 days 23 hrs 59 mins

At the time the connection got dropped today, I have seen the following logged on my router:-

Thu, 2014-02-13 19:05:32 - LCP down.
Thu, 2014-02-13 19:05:34 - Initialize LCP.
Thu, 2014-02-13 19:05:34 - LCP is allowed to come up.
Thu, 2014-02-13 19:05:38 - CHAP authentication success

So any thoughts on this? It obviously isn't a DHCP issue, and the ADSL link stays up during this drop?

Its being looked at by TTB, but what does the LCP do and is it something the ISP control?
