I'm in the process of moving several accounts over and away from Coms.
One of them will be moved to Vivaciti.
Currently I am able to log in to both services and that's probably because they both use TTB backhaul.
Just out of interest I fired up usenet and compared speeds.
Coms: 20KB/s
Vivaciti: 1400KB/s (limited by my sync).
Vivaciti only 70 times faster than Coms then.
Well done Coms, you've managed to ruin what was once a good service.
I guess COMS must be extending their throttling test then (probably indefinitely by the looks of it)
I think I'll be off within the next few weeks, I'm even considering BT Infinity 2, despite the dire BT support I reckon the actual connection would be a big step upwards from COMS.
I only use peer to peer around once every couple of months and I'm a light user so the throttling doesn't really affect me. I just find it objectionable the way COMS keep their customers in the dark and announce nothing. They just wait until users notice something has changed and then come out with indifferent statements as to why.
