Looking at their website and business at the moment, I can only assume they want to be more of a business ISP than a residential one, to tie onto what they offer now.. Why else would they go to such measures.

Yes they can probably have a few old ADSL24 users who only use the internet once a month to check their emails and have no idea they are no longer with ADSL24 anymore. But it wont be many, that kind of user is the sort who would just sign up to BT broadband because 'they have a BT phone line' etc.

ADSL24 were a niche ISP, Coms have stripped out exactly what made ADSL24 appealing.

Thats my take on this whole clusterfudge anyway.

Asus RT-N66U - FTTC via Coms (counting down the days....!) - Soon to be Plusnet Unlimited Fibre - Max Sync, 150m from the cab.

The sooner I am away from these clowns the better!
I've just had a 20 minute outage and literally 20 secs after I top up my 3 Dongle to get online to find out if its a network wide thing or a problem at my end, the connection comes back. Thanks Coms. Thats the second daily top up I've wasted because there's been a problem at your end this month.
Not to mention several gig of off peak usage that you've 'charged' to my peak allowance.
As soon as Vivaciti responds to my query, I am outta here!

The words Coms, [censored] up and Brewery come to mind.

Well still no announcement from Coms re: our declining service. But their mis-information and ignoring the facts seems to start from the top.
I have been reading on the stock exchange reports from disgruntled shareholders, having seen their investments halve in value since January. Only to get all excited Monday. about a new big contracts announcement by David Breith, which then turned out to be a sham. In fact they were apparently the same contracts he had declared back in November!
Seems we are`t the only ones being misled.

Now all migrated away to Plusnet, phoneline to follow in a few days.

Much happier now, full speed no problems.

The migration wasn't simple, kept having to prod plusnet almost every step of the way but it's all done now and working fine.

Lucky you, Paul was due to get back to me over a week ago, still no response. Given them enough chances, thought something had been done over the weekend as my p2p speeds were back up to pre coms days, but that was short lived to just a day.
