mart I think I am using Enta network on BT tails as I now have a profile on the BT wholesale tester which I had got away with on the TT tails. Speeds are fine and stable, will see if they remain so when kids go back to school. I am right next to a school on the same exchange.

Just recorded a mahoosive 2.3Mbps on vivacitis preferred speedtester

A few minutes later I got 7.1 Mbps on speedtest.net (I always use Xilos Maidenhead test server).

7.45 Mbps came back from the BT tester, and finally returning to http://internet-speedtest.net I got 6.10 Mbps.

Finally I tried Thinkbroadband.... 4.6 average (5.3 for http x6)

Enta still has some issues it seems. Maybe the "improvement" Vivaciti spoke of is the entertainment value of guessing where your speed is tonight

This could all be exchange contention as everyone and his dog uses BT pipes, Daisy LLU was/is under utilized locally because many haven't even heard of LLU. I will wait and see if I experience this peak slowdown during school term times which I used to on Zen.

I am that fed up with it all and it hasn't even been a week on the new service, I have asked my MAC code, but probably won't get that until the start of the week, as I requested it yesterday.

Just been onto Enta direct, got the guy to hard set my snr margin to 6db,a after I explained that I wasn`t happy at being on bT`s [censored] profiling system. He said I can get a mac direct from them (Enta customer service) if I am not happy in the future. All in all excellent support from the Enta guy ( Lewis), and BT re-set my snr in under an hour.

It's not good is it?

My line keeps dropping at least once a day if not more since I've been transferred, doubt if I'd had that many drops in the 2 1/2 years previously on Daisy. I despair!

Thanks for the reply Nick.

MAC code has been requested, just waiting for it to show within my account page on Vivaciti, then I can put an order in with Xilo and get back on the service I was on before this forced change and was perfectly happy with. If it does not show up after the five days I have for a MAC code to be provided, I will contact entanet and get it, as you have stated.

The one thing that puts me off Xilo is the £48 they charge to transfer in.
