Yesterday was a good day.

Today, I started work with virtually no network throughput and after a router PPPoE drop and reconnect now have half speed.

The euphemistically named "Coms" seems to be falling apart... but I use IP routing for work and its a pain in the neck to move.

Which is worse? A short-term pain in the neck or an ongoing pain in the butt?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.4/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

If only there was a company like ADSL24...

Asides from half a day of change requests to my client's [censored] departments (a pain), and changing half a dozen firewalls, I am welcome to suggestions?

But given the hassle of moving, I am kind of hoping Coms pull the fingers out of their proverbials.

Enta provide Coms transit too, along with Cogent so you'll see them in traces depending on the route the data takes.

That's the trouble at the moment. ADSL24 were excellent but now just a fond memory.
I stayed with COMS until May and couldn't stand it any more, reading the posts on here about them I'm pleased I jumped ship when I did.
I think it would need a miracle for COMS to pull their fingers out, in fact I think their whole fist is stuck there now smile

This morning, my monitoring shows 49-45 Mb/s down 20-5 Mb/s up, so relatively nominal service and not worth the half a day of admin time to change.
