Re: Coms Cease Fee When Terminating Service

Previous set up - line rental from BT, ADSL from Coms - bog standard.
New set up - Line rental still BT (only for phone (for time being)), Internet straight from Gigaclear fibre network - no phone network involved any more.

Don't worry about it too much - grateful for your input so far - I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Coms won't try and rub salt in the wound....

That's a completely different ballgame. Unless stated, most people here would have taken you to mean Openreach FTTP, as I did.

Have you actually cancelled your broadband with Coms? If not, they won't know you have moved and will continue to charge for the broadband. Whether or not you have, then yes, a valid cease charge is almost certain.

Edit - What gigaclear say, second question down.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 57.1/14.8Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

Sorry for the confusion, I'm new to all this fibre stuff!

Not cancelled Coms yet - fibre only went live last night, I was just trying to sound out if they would add in the termination fee. I had seen what it said on the Gigaclear site, but that sort of suggests is still a "migration" to me.

We'll see when I do cancel, but I shall prepare for the worst.
Cheers!
