1. Can you confirm that the minimum term for a new customer transferring an existing FTTC connection is 12 months? I believe that BT Wholesale only impose 30 day terms on transfers?
I can confirm its 12 months, which is directly passed on from our suppliers. Whilst it's free for yourself to move to ourselves, there is a wholesale charge that is being absorbed, which needs to be recovered, hence a contract.
2. Can you confirm the cease fee payable in the (hopefully unlikely) event that I need to cancel services without migration? Your website says £40 but your T&Cs say £29.95
A cease fee is payable if you do not transfer an active service to another provider. I can confirm this is £40.00 (inc VAT).
3. Can you confirm any early termination charge fee scale as your website suggests that you will charge the full monthly fee for any remaining period but OFCOM guidance suggests that fees should be lower to reflect that your costs reduce?
As stated on our sales pages, if you leave ourselves whilst remaining months of your contract remain in place, you will be asked to settle the remaining parts of your contract in full.
I am not personally aware of any OFCOM guidances on this matter, but I am happy to be enlightened. If you can highlight some references, I will be more than happy to take up the case and make our suppliers aware also, as that's where our costs are based upon.
