At the moment there is some work to be done with the yearly option (mainly how calls will be billed given that it does not have a monthly invoice to tie them to as is done with monthly rental) ....
Knock 12p off the annual rental and issue monthly bills for 1p + call charges?

I wish it was that simple, but that'd look pretty nasty too, especially if there were no calls!

At least EC's response was (unusually) concise!

Ooh, googling for me now; digging up five year old messages about running Linux on a Dell laptop. Must be bored and idle!

Don't suppose you've read Tanenbaum's book Operating Systems Design and Implementation? It's perhaps the seminal work on the topic.

Exactly what qualifications do you hold in this field? Andy Tanenbaum, the man you ridicule, is professor emeritus of computer science at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He developed Minix as a teaching tool; it was adopted worldwide and became the precursor to Linux. When Tanenbaum calls foul on Microsoft and its activities, people do actually listen. On the other hand, who listens to you?

What contributions have you made to society, Adrian? Other than trolling internet forums, with your loony-rants, rubbishing every company you ever deal with? In recent weeks, on ThinkBroadband alone, you've smeared BT, TalkTalk, SSE, Zen, and today Uno. Which company will feel your wrath tomorrow?!

I have spent 25 years , often unpaid and without any break or holiday caring for disabled, disadvantaged children and young adults.

Helping and educating those with learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and the like.

Fighting LEA's on behalf of those that couldn't read or understand the system or their rights.

I took on 2 boys deemed to be uncontrollable and impossible to educate by the establishment, they, with the right attitude and some patience have both now achieved places at university.

Orphans and kids affected by the Chernobyl disaster have been given a chance of clean air, decent food and a schooling.

My Ukrainian God Daughter is on her way to a double degree in modern languages, business studies and economics, all written in English , I spend hours each week proof reading her work.

Here , right now ,I have 2 lads with Aspergers Syndrome going through college and recently 3 children that suffered severe abuse in the home have been protected and given shelter while arrangements were made for their further care.

My time and internet connection are put to good use , what have you ever done to help anyone Cluck?
