Earlier this week, a contractor on behalf of Community Fibre installed some kind of box into the pavement outside one of our next door neighbours. In doing so they also managed to cut existing cabling and killed our landline/FTTP service. It died at 3pm but Openreach had us up and running again the next morning by 8am.
My question is this, if Community Fibre are installing such items into the pavement, how far away are they likely to be from actually going live with service provision? Anybody with experience/knowledge of the process care to comment? I did ask the question of their sales team but they couldn't provide any useful dates/info.
