UPP have been installing infrastructure in my village, Ryhall nr Stamford over the past month but it looks like I’ll never have the chance to sign up with them according to their website.
They’ve stopped taking on new customers so I guess Virgin/O2 will be handling new customers from now on.
Shame as the pricing was good and no in contract price increases.
I'm in Oakham and Upp was available here but I was holding off making any decision until the whole forced sale think went through. I guess new customers would be signing up with Virgin now then. The Virgin checker shows not available even though the fibre is already there (next door, on the same telegraph pole got connected to UPP a few months ago) I did wonder why the checker on BIDB had changed from "Live" to "Local".
We have Gigaclear so I guess it's a waiting game now. The only thing I can get from Openreach is "Some time between now and December 2026"
