YouFibre

I've just signed up to YouFibre. I also run a small home network with a Windows domain. I was just wondering if there is anyone on the forum who is a YouFibre customer with a similar setup and what your experience has been?

Regardless of ISP, there should be no interaction between a Windows domain and anything on the ISP side of the router. It has been a long time since I bothered with a Windows domain, but normally you should be able to set them up to be exclusive to your network and if there is any interaction, it's all to do with your side and your problem, nothing to do with the ISP.

What specifically is worrying you?

Nothing specifically. I was merely wondering if anyone had had any particular issues that I needed to be aware of.

If you have a local Active Directory you will want your Domain Controller's DNS servers to forward to the ISP DNS, and all your member devices to use DNS from your AD, but as that is basic you probably already knew that.

Literally the same here, DHCP is done on my Firewall and DNS pointed to the DC's, DC's use cisco unbrella for DNS monitoring and querying.

YouFibre use Google DNS by default (at least they did when I last got my DHCP lease),

Many Thanks,
