Risk with lesser known suppliers?

[link to this post]

Still a few months away from my existing contract expiring and I see a few new (to me) names popping up.
Fibrely and Cuckoo - has anyone any experience with these companies?

Whilst I do appreciate good customer service, I do use my own router so the supplier is only for the line and for me in my location that means Openreach (or Virgin - not likely!) irrespective of which supplier I go through.

The supplier as you call it only provides the local loop connectivity, so the ISP still has a network it maintains, and manages connectivity out to the wider internet. Bear this in mind. Older ISP's are typically more robust in this area.

I have been in email contact with fibrely last few days as i am out of contract with BT and was interested in their 900 package. So the thread link posted has muddied the waters somewhat for me.I guess i should hold fire and look at another provider.

based on my limited knowledge, different ISPs use different authentication methods so your router may work with some but not others.
