Just wanted to say that I got my MAC number today and that a very nice guy actually took the time to telephone me regarding my request.
Over the last few months in particular, I have found the customer services to be rubbish, but this call and the fact he was understanding and very reasonable about why I want to migrate impressed me. Okay, not enough to convince me to stay, but it was a step in the right direction. I filled in the online questionnaire to give my reasons and they were really three fold:
1. Dreadful customer service (nothing like it was when I signed up a few years back).
2. Problems accessing my Email occasionally
3. Line speed never even reached 1mg (despite line tests saying the line should be able to handle around 2.5mg). I guess this could be down to BT, but after being on dial up for so long, even 1mg was better than 56k.
Anyway, I'm off to submit my MAC number to IDnet (never been with anyone else before so it's all a bit of an adventure), but I just wanted to let you know they had done something positive on the customer service side.
