Didn't it used to be 12 months minimum connection?

I signed up for BB on plus.net a year ago, and I thought that if you cancelled after less than 12 months you had to pay a deferred activation fee. If you took their "free" modem offer, the amount you had to pay for that went down over 5 years.

However, looking at the t&c now, the costs for both go down over 5 years. Has something changed, or is my memory at fault?

Since the deferred fees have been in place it has been 5 years for new activations (amount dependant on when you signed up) and hardware and 12 months for migrations.
