Email not working... again?

Are the current email problems limited to people with usernames beginning "el"?

My username does not, however whilst I seem to have had no problems logging in over the last 24 hrs, I've been receiving no emails. No test ones I've sent to myself, not even a morsel of spam.

And yet the service status suggests that I shouldn't be affected.

Am I alone? Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like it. Especially if your test ones aren't doing anything. Do contacts receive mail from you? Suggest you double check your settings just in case, but unless you've been fiddling, I'd doubt it's a local problem.

Yup, emails I send are going through fine, but that's to be expected because I use a software smtp server. It reports that mails are successfully being delivered straight to my mailbox, but when I send and receive, there's been nothing for a whole day.

There is now something on the service status about this. I can hardly believe, however, that the email can be causing trouble AGAIN!!

11:37 Email Delays - NEW

We have recently identified a problem resulting in the delayed delivery of email for some of our customers.

Those affected may notice emails sent over the last 36 hours have arrived late or are yet to be received. The problem is not believed to be affecting the sending of new email.

We have isolated the root cause of the problem and are taking measures to reduce the current load on our mail servers.

We anticipate these queues will decrease steadily throughout the day and will post a further update later on this afternoon.
