Email problems?

[link to this post]

Quote from Plusnet status 'Our engineers have resolved the issues with the mail servers and they are now back in service and working correctly'.
And I thought I had a problem as I still cannot receive mail from Plusnet 8rs after that last post.

yes yet again - no email and can't get into webmail. this is getting to be really exasperating. email off most of Monday, much of Tuesday and now again.....

service status says email has been OK for 22 hours - which it hasn't in my case
and no mention of latest problem

I wish I could face switching but need to get on with urgent work and it's too much hassle at the moment. It's loyalty by default - which PN really don't deserve

I raised a ticket. That took 10 minutes due to the slow portal and the way they have tried to hide the "raise a ticket" button.

Believe me it is worth it, I was up to my neck in work too, but having a reliable ISP saves me hours of frustration, I left 2 months ago and I am still having billing issues and email issues with this shower, I don't have any with my current ISP.

No email here either, and like you, can't get into webmail.

thanks Doug I'm sure you're right. (do you want to disclose which is your new ISP?) I'm thnking of going down the domain registration and hosting route first so that email address is independent of ISP - but need to do some research on how to make all of that work first

email is back on now.... for how long I wonder

cheers Diane

'Our engineers have resolved the issues with the mail servers and they are now back in service and working correctly'.

Don't they mean working as normal? eg having problems?

I'm still having email strife too. How many times this year have plusnet had (serious) problems with the email system?

Well if it's been ongoing for most of the year, once.

It's a farce. First over the last month i've had to bare disconnections due to me being on LLU and now email outages.

I would really like to jump this ship as all these problems are very frustrating especially when someone like myself is jobhunting. I've been expecting emails with job specs/info, interview times etc where they are all waiting in the queue somewhere within the Plusnet system.

I've now reverted into giving people my Yahoo address to send these essential emails as I can no longer trust Plusnet.

No matter what downtime i'll have to wait Plusnet will not be a recommendation nor will it be a service I will be using soon after me starting a new job! Too many problems in too short a period.
