Andy,

Sounds like you have been very lucky with P2P until now.
I was like you, and one day had the same trouble and only way out was to leave.
TBH doubt if you will get much help from PN as you aren't the type of customer they want these days.
P2P speeds are different to direct download speeds. (PN throttle P2P until you leave in some cases)

I'm a similar user by the sounds of it. Last night 2-3 shows downloads no problems, in fact they uploaded the same amount which is not the norm. I gave up using azereus ages ago because of a similar problem, nothing was finishing. I use utorrent now, find it great plus the scheduler helps manage the peak time.

So many variables to speed, you need to do a little testing before blaming the PN shaping, although I'm not saying it isn't that ! the new capacity can't come soon enough

If say a HTTP download is quick at peakish times while P2P is slow then exchange status is unlikely to be an issue, but rather shaping at the ISP side

I would say your reply is more feasible, rather than exchange contention, I just didn't want to say that.

Thanks for the posts
If it was the exchange would it not be all downloads all of the time? Ive just had a look at my last few days downloads and Of course there is not much while we was away (only brother feeding the animals when he comes in )Tthen the day after we came back (which i knew would be high to catch up) Was 5g and then 4g the next night as under 1g and last night just under half a gig?

As for them shapng the line I dont think that they would do it to that extent even if as you say i am not one of the user's who they want. My usage over the last year has been pretty much constat?

I will have a look at the exchange to see if they are doing any work overnight.

Regards Andy

Andy,

As others have said doubt it's an exchange issue.
If you do a seach on "P2P" on this form you will find many issues.
PN clearly don't want people to use it.
Just because you are still in your "allowance" doesn't mean much, look on here what they are doing to BB+ users.
