Spam, mail format default blocking.

Hi,

It seems that the spammers used username@username, as a mail format, perhaps the answer is to block username@username by default, shouldn't be a problem for most.

Regards.

I don't think they have. I certainly don't get spam sent to my main mailbox, [email protected], I only get it at the various other addresses used by the family, i.e. [email protected]. This is presumably because I've used such addresses with webmail in the past, but not the main mailbox address.

Indeed, this is not about spammers 'guessing' email addresses as is often the case. Here they are using a list of known addresses.

In my case and also my parents case the spam used username@username however in both cases we have never used that as an address format.

Hmmm, re my other post saying that i have never used webmail, I wonder if that is the format that addresses were stored on the webmail server.
