Gaming Impossible

[link to this post]

Last night and today I've had problems where my connection to servers drops, I can rejoin servers straight away however it's a pain reconnecting to full servers every 10-30 mins. It's the same on Jolt and Superserver gaming servers.

Anyone else having these problems?

Hi,

I've not seen any other reports of problems, is it a particular game or any game? Are you noticing any other problems at all, e.g. slow speeds or high pings (both in and out of the games)?

Hello,

No there aren't any latency problems and the main two games I play, CS and BF2, don't need much bandwidth. It's like packets are being lost; unfortunately, the game logs aren't very useful.

Hi,

I play those and have no problems. Did they used to work OK and now you are having problems ?

Has anything changed on your PC etc recently as that might be the cause.

Things to check for that would drop your connection are Spyware, Virus's, Auto update programs that kindly spring into action at the worst times and other programs you might have running in the back ground that could interfere.

Hope that helps,

Hrmmm,

Seems to have fixed itself during the night - forgot to post back. I tried rebooting router and PC a number of times, when I went on afterwards, it appears stable

Sorry for the original post - dunno what fixed it in the end.
