I disagree. They are making it deliberately more difficult for bots to get past. If you feel it is a blatent attempt to deny the disabled access, and not for bots, then raise a complaint with the authorities.

That doesn't preclude the use of an audio alternative. It doesn't have to be deliberate to be discrimination.

That's what you said. So is it deliberate or not?
That's it from me. Not getting into this childish tit for tat stuff anymore. Complain to the authorities.

Seeing as Plusnet seem to be suffering temporary blindness, here are the details of their data controller as Plusnet previously eventually relented to disclose to me.
Mark Bell, PlusNet PLC, Internet House, 2 Tenter Street, Sheffield, S1 4BY.

I run my own limited Company &, obviously, do work for other companies. tbh, I cannot think of ANY Company that actually complies with this!!

Sorry but it doesn't work like that, if he feels plusnet are holding his personal data for longer than is necessary he should contact them formally for an explanation, it's the only way to go forward. Posting a request on here won't work, because plusnet might not read it, how do they know who he is? so he's then relying on plusnet to contact him, perhaps they will but if you feel strongly about protecting your personal data as he appears to be in his post, you get off your bottom and do something about it.

Well given that Think Broadband and Microsoft (to name two very quickly) are also guilty, one would expect complaints about any or all of them, since the majority of browsers are supplied by the latter and this argument is occuring on the site of the former.
Assuming you're referring to a CAPTCHA, if anyone is disabled and has a problem, all they need to do is drop an e-mail to team@ and we'll help them. We've done this before to those who had problems using our old ratings system (that should be fixed in the system on the new site).

I would hope the "authorities" would consider whether any disabled people have actually been harmed by it.
Laws are there to protect certain rights, not as a revenge tool some people seem to think they are to cause as much work as possible for someone they don't like.
On the issue of the laws they have "broken" from the blog article..
