I wasn't having a go at TB Seb, but highlighting the fact that the vast majority of commercial websites do not conform to WAI standards. I didn't say anything about CAPTCHA in regards to TB.

Laws are there to protect certain rights, not as a revenge tool some people seem to think they are to cause as much work as possible for someone they don't like.

Thank you. You highlight my concerns with the slant of the posts above.

Oh and the linked Blog Article doesn't conform to WAI 2, 3, xhtml, or css standards either. Hardly a basis for crowing about others' web standards really.

I know what you meant.. I was trying to illustrate though that you don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money to make sure your entire site works for the blind in every single way possible, as long as you're reasonable and work around the problems.

That said, our new site was designed with standards in mind as far as feasible, but it's very difficult (and therefore expensive; time=money) to be perfect..

There's some debate often about this though - making disabled users "do something special" seems to fall foul of guidelines about it being a discriminatory requirement.

Go figure...
