Hello;
I am on the old PlusNet PAYG tarrif.
Simply put, I can download a certain P2P file at 40 - 80 kbps on a Virgin Media connection.
On my PAYG PlusNet connection the download speed is 18kbps.
Am I expecting too much from my PAYG account?
Thanks

This should not happen, all PayG traffic should not be restricted no matter what type of traffic it is. What are the times you are having trouble in downloading, if it is the free times then it is possible that you are being restricted for fair usage. However anything which is being marked as Paid for traffic should not be restricted. You can probably raise a question with PN and send them a traffic capture which should show if you traffic is being restricted or not.

Were you given access to the RIN trial?
You would have had an email at the time about using the plusdsl2.net realm in your username.

Would being in the RIN trial result in A PAYG account being shaped?
Just wondering because I recently removed myself from the RIN trial but for other reasons.

Fact is that your stance has been of a very strong nature as of late, and this was also mirrored on the plusnetters website a while back, although this is not our domain or forum to monitor and so it isnt and wont be taken into account.
I have not contravened any of their forum rules in making this post.

No, but it would help us to identify where any issue might lie.

Intresting that your posts are monitored by the BTPlusnet forum mods,
and they don't like you coming across "anti".
Maybe they also monitor the "pro" ones and offer them Brownie points!

I know there are a few BTPlusnet mods who try to gather brown nose points. Fortunately there are a few who do make an effort to be objective, thank goodness.

Yeah, it's great - if I compliment PlusNet on a daily basis I get a weekly cash settlement for my time. Tax-free, cash-in-hand and all!
