Hi eveyone, hopefully a quick and simple question....
A friend has had a "legacy" Broadband Plus package for nearly three years now, so things like the activation charge have been written off etc. etc.
I was thinking of suggesting a sidegrade to the current Option 2 package which is the same monthly price (14.99) but I think the free period (00.00-08.00) and slightly less harsh traffic shaping profile would be preferable.
If we did change packages, are any contract lengths or other timers reset? I see that the notice period is 1 month for Option 2 (which is fine). Are there any other things to be aware of?
I'm trying to cover the bases, since a possible house move in a couple of months time might require cancellation of the service, and I don't want to suddenly find out that there's some sort of lock-in or minimum period enforced due to the change in package.
Also, I take it that as an existing customer they don't send you the free router (certainly don't need it!) as I see that as a new customer, you have to keep the service for 12 months or you get charged for the cost of the router.
Thanks a lot,
Kippy
