I have read all the posts about moving but I have a strange scenario.
I have sold my house and moved out but am awaiting my new address, my bt line has been disconnected from my old address but i don't have a new phone number or address as yet due to delay in my house purchase.
I have left my broadband running and paying for it with Plusnet, just wondering what is the best way to go about this, should I just leave it running until I get my new telephone number and if so will I still be on my monthly contract? Or will I have to start afresh.
I have been with Plusnet a few years now, if I have to start from a new 12 month contract I am just wondering if I would be better off going to adsl+2, as the new line is capable of 20meg as I am next door to a telephone exchange.
I would prefer to stay with Plusnet as it has been very reliable but if I am tied to another 12 month contract this maybe a good time to jump ship for a faster service.
Also I telephoned plusnet who confused me a bit, as they said I could migrate my service but there would be a charge of £40 - Anybody got any ideas on this one, and what is the best way to go about this, and the cheapest way to go about this. I am expecting to move into my new address next week hopefully.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
